New and Impressive Donation for the CCC/POW Museum

A heartfelt and emotional moment in City Council Meeting on September 14, as Mayor Deaton accepts a $20,000 donation from the Bert & Doris Olsen Family. This donation goes towards the completion of the CCC/POW Museum.

Tammy Clark presented the check to the Mayor and City council and explained that this donation will help to complete the museum.

This historical museum will bring thousands of visitors to Salina each year and will be one of our greatest attractions.

The museum is scheduled to open in November but you can catch a sneak peek on Saturday, September 24th from 1 to 4 during the Coal Days Celebration. Dee Olsen will be there to answer all your questions.

Be sure to take time to visit our wonderful museums.
